High Performance Off-Season Training Program

The most complete off-season baseball program available!

Ages 14-17

The off-season of any sport provides a unique opportunity for every athlete.  It is a time of year that should be void of the pressure that accompanies competition.  The off-season training environment should allow athletes to focus more of their energy on systematically breaking down their baseball skills and building them on a stronger, more solid foundation.  The off-season should be filled with education, both baseball-specific and sport-general.  It should also be filled with the safe and planned development of general athleticism, overall body strength, and movement skills.  Simply providing repetitions in large groups will ultimately lead to the reinforcement of poor motor patterns and improvements based solely on repetition.  Players will advance, but will miss the opportunity to exponentially improve their baseball skills by systematically improving their strength, movement patterns, mental skills, and foundational baseball mechanics.

  • Off-Season Training Program will Include:

  • High quality baseball instruction: Instructors will be selected based on experience and baseball knowledge.  All areas of the game will be taught with detail and precision.  Players will train multiple times throughout the week and/or weekend.

  • High Performance Strength & Conditioning: The Diamondawgs off-season strength & conditioning program will be based on the program designed for AL MVP Justin Morneau, Japanese Professional League standout Aaron Guile, and White Sox prospect Cole Armstrong.

  • Small group instruction ? Working in small groups will allow for higher quality interactions with players and an increase in learning efficiency.

  • Multiple options based on available time: It is our goal to provide multiple training options for players based on availability, multi-sport commitments, and financial concerns.  Both weekday and weekend training sessions will be offered.

  • Holistic athlete development: It should always be recognized that sport is an excellent vehicle to reaching a variety of goals in life.  Through daily reinforcement and guest speakers, parents and players will benefit from a wide variety of baseball-specific and sport-general information.
