Session #1: November 3rd - December 19th, 2020
Session #2: January 5th - February 27th, 2021
Session #3: March 2nd - March 27th, 2021
The focus of each hitting session will be education. Hitters will learn the factors that influence the effectiveness of a swing, the areas of their swing that require adjustments, and how to self-monitor progress. Video analysis will be used to maximize efficiency and limit extra movements.
Phase 1 sessions will focus on developing the hitters foundation - the lower body. Through the development of strong lower body mechanics we will provide each hitter with a solid foundation. Through effective use of the lower half, hitters will be able to develop better bat speed which will show up as better on-field power.
Phase 2 will focus more on bat path and hitting approach as we get closer to live at bats. More time will be devoted to hitting breaking balls and developing an approach in all counts.
Phase 3 is all about live at bats! Hitters will be matched up against pitchers within their same age group and coaches will help guide players through approaching at-bats, adapting to counts, and anticipating pitches. Hitters will also get the opportunity to continue to develop their swing through drill work.
Hitting progression will cover the following:
1. Developing consistency in the preparatory phases of the swing
2. Improving transfer of power to maximize solid contact
3. Developing a consistent hitting approach
Limited spaces available.
