Regardless of how your college season went, it's time to look forward...
You are ready to put in the work this summer to position yourself at the top of the depth chart when you return to campus this fall. Leave nothing to chance by committing to an environment that will help you thrive this off-season. The Diamondawgs Summer College Program is where you need to be.
Space for independent development...
Your success to this point hasn't been by accident. You understand where you need to improve and the best way to get those results this summer. Three days per week you will have the opportunity to work independently within our training group and take advantage of 12,000 square feet of training space. All the tools you require will be at your disposal and you will have similarly driven athletes within our training group to work with.
Coaches for guidance & support...
All players need feedback, suggestions, and sometimes just a sounding board to talk through the best process for development. Hitting, defense, pitching... a comprehensive program will be developed and there will be instructors active in sessions 2-3 days per week to throw BP, review Rapsodo and Blast data, and to help players implement their development plans.
New to our program will be sprint coach Jessica Zalinka. Jessica graduated from the University of Calgary in 2007 after competing on the Dinos track and field team for four seasons. A member of the Canada West Hall of Fame, she became a gold medalist at the 2007 Pan American Games, represented Canada at the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic games. Since leaving competitive athletics, Zelinka has become a performance consultant and is currently the head coach of the Dinos Track & Field and Cross Country teams.
Group structure...
-One training group for more competitive velocity days and live at bats
-Ability to break into smaller groups for individual skill development
-One group in the weight room
-One day outside for long toss & defensive development
-Pre-program assessment - program development based on strength & weaknesses - reassessment - adjustments to programming
-Sim games and live at bats (dependent on registration numbers)
